Mark authored the October 2016 UK Government Review of the Construction Labour Market Model entitled ‘Modernise or Die’ which has contributed to a growing international debate on the urgent need for the construction industry to change the way it delivers.
Mark is also currently chairing a UK Government joint industry working group looking at the assurance, insurance and financing of housing delivered using Modern Methods of Construction.
Mark has nearly 30 years of experience in the construction and real estate sectors and has become a recognised international commentator and thought leader on a variety of construction and property related issues.
Mark has been at the forefront of emerging UK residential market sectors such as Build to Rent and Retirement Living. He is also playing a leading role in driving modernisation of the UK construction industry through adoption of greater levels of pre-manufacturing using more integrated and digitally enabled delivery models.
Mark is a member of the RICS, Vice Chairman of the Urban Land Institute UK Residential Council, a member of the British Property Federation Build to Rent sub-committee, a member of the London Mayor’s Construction Skills Advisory Group and co-chairman of Constructing Excellence.
