ACE Workshop 2017
The 2017 version of the workshop was held in July 2017 in the Ecole Centrale de Lille to disseminate knowledge and conduct scientific reflections on the technologies of the future. It brought together eminent international scientists who presented the cutting edge of the technologies and lead debates with the heads of large companies, researchers, doctoral candidates, young entrepreneurs and start-ups. The objective of this workshop was to establish new opportunities for collaborative and sustainable work in a high-level scientific community. The workshops was organized in plenary sessions, round tables and poster sessions. The international experts presented their scientific work and provide advice to establish a vision of the future. Participants were able to present their work, exchange, debate and talk business opportunities. The 2017 « Beyond Construction » workshop focused on answering the following question:
What organization / structure would be the most appropriate for the introduction of robotics in construction?
An international scientific committee was therefore set up to define the scientific approach of the work. The keynote speaker were :
ACE Workshop 2016
This first edition of the International Workshop aimed at bringing together students and professionals around the themes of 3D Printing and Lean Construction. It was organized around lectures, round tables, and moments of informal exchanges.
The aim of the event was to create, for the first time, dynamic around the Lean Construction and 3D printing thematics in the region and in France. The implementation and the pratical side of Lean Construction and 3D printing still remain a mystery for a large audience. The objective was to introduce 3D Printing (new technology) with a focus on its practical implementation side and the interaction between (Lean and 3D printing at different levels (organization, managerial, economics…).
